It is with heavy hearts that the OIB Board shares this sad news
with all our members. On August 11th Fred Garstka suddenly passed away at his home. Fred has been a member of AWS, our OIB Chapter and the Shallotte Chapter since 2016. A funeral mass was held Friday, August 29, 10 AM at St. Brendan's Church in Shallotte. Fred’s obituary is available at Brunswick Funeral Home's website https://brunswickfuneralservice.com/view-users-list/obituaries We have also added Fred to our Chapter's Remembering section of our website: The family has asked anyone wishing to contribute in Fred’s memory, in lieu of flowers, that you do so to the AWS OIB Scholarship Fund or a charity of your choosing. If contributing to the Scholarship Fund, please make checks payable to: American Wine Society OIB Chapter and note in the memo section, Scholarship Fund. Please keep Sue, their son Adam & entire family in your thoughts & prayers. |
