How to Join or Renew with The American Wine Society
JOINING AWS
If you would like to join The American Wine Society, this is completed by visiting the AWS National Website - Membership.
You must fill out membership / profile information (online if available or see below 2020 downloadable Membership Application) and make payment via credit card on that site.
In the member profile information, specify your preferred / primary Chapter that you would like to be associated with.
(i.e. Ocean Isle Beach)
If joining as a household, it is helpful to enter a specific email address for EACH member.
Upon processing, an AWS email will be sent to the Chapter President for awareness and to include you in the local Chapter
emails / communication.
RENEWING AWS MEMBERSHIP ANNUALLY
The NEW way for renewing automatically.
2020 is the first year that auto renew is in effect. If the system has a good payment method on file for a member, then the member will NOT see a "Renew Now" banner on top of their profile after logging in.
Instead on Dec 31, their membership will be automatically renewed using that payment method. We will be sending notices to those members with expired payment methods, reminders to those with good payment methods that the renewal is upcoming, and then hit up those members who overlooked renewing.
Members unsure of their status can log on, click on "Manage profile", then click on "Membership" to see their payment history. If someone does not want to renew or wants to change their type of membership, then they should delete the Dec. 31 invoice & renew with the membership they would like.
